bob elvis: Born in Birmingham, I now live and work in the Fens in the East of England. I am a writer and artist. My written work includes novellas, short and micro fiction and poetry. My poetry is regularly published in the monthly local newspaper, some of my short prose has been published by the Worcester Literature Festival and I have produced my own collections hand bound and illustrated by me. Major influences include Alan Bennett, Dylan Thomas, Federico Garcia Lorca and the sufi poets. I draw and paint and have been enjoying using reclaimed/re-purposed materials to create pictures, painting on the back of postcards and business cards using left over decorating paints then making frames out of old pieces of timber. The style is my own with bits of impressionism and the abstract.
